Founded by Dr. John Thomas, PCC is a group of mental health professionals dedicated to providing the highest quality of psychological and soul care in the Greater Lynchburg, VA Area. We are an affiliate of Advanced Psychotherapeutics in Forest, VA.
PCC treats a wide array of adolescent, adult, couple, and family problems. We specialize in sex therapy and sex addiction therapy—including betrayed spouses.

Founder of Phoenix Counseling & Consultation
Dr. Thomas is the found of PCC, LLC. He is a Professor in the Department of Counselor Education and Family Studies at Liberty University. He has been working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families for 38 years with a wide-range of problems.
Jake Weatherholtz, MA
Licensed Resident in Counseling
Jake Weatherholtz is currently a Licensed Resident in Counseling working under the supervision of Dr. John Thomas. He also works for Centra Health. His professional experience includes working with sex addiction, substance abuse, stress management, anxiety, depression, and marital issues.
Dustin Beaty, MA
Licensed Resident in Counseling
Dustin is a Licensed Resident in Counseling who has worked with adults, adolescents, and couples on issues including sexual addiction, marriage and relationship issues, anxiety, depression, and trauma. His professional experience includes work at the Elim Home, a residential treatment center for men struggling with substance use.
